10 Tips to Sleep Better

Waking up in the morning relaxed will lead in a more productive and happier day. But how can you acheive that, if you usually don't sleep well?

So here are my tips on how to sleep better.

1. Don't drink anything that contains caffeine. Know, that caffeine is found in chocolate, black tea, cola and of course coffe. Although you should think that drinking alcohol makes you sleep better, this is not true. In fact Alcohol upsets sleep. The same goes for Tobacco.

2. Drink warm milk. Drinking warm milk has proved to calm your nervous system.

3. Taking a warm bath can be a great way to loosen . Still, don't exagerate. You could try some aroma therapy, while you are in the water. Or you could add some bath salt.

4. Try some respiration exercises.

5. Make your own bedtime routine. The most important is to go to bed at the same time every night. Respecting a few steps every day, will make your brain realize when the time to bed has come.

6. Try taking supplements. Magnesium and calcium can work well. Also you could try taking some sleeping pills.

7. Learn to sleep on your back. Sleeping on your back is the best sleeping position to allow your internal organs to rest properly. Read more on how to sleep better

8. Open your window and let the fresh air enter your room for a few minutes. This helps you ventilate the room, but also brings fresh air to your brain. The room temperature should be between 60-65 degrees in Fahrenheit.

9. Avoid naps during the day.
