10 Tips to Sleep Better

Waking up in the morning relaxed will lead in a more productive and happier day. But how can you acheive that, if you usually don't sleep well?

So here are my tips on how to sleep better.

1. Don't drink anything that contains caffeine. Know, that caffeine is found in chocolate, black tea, cola and of course coffe. Although you should think that drinking alcohol makes you sleep better, this is not true. In fact Alcohol upsets sleep. The same goes for Tobacco.

2. Drink warm milk. Drinking warm milk has proved to calm your nervous system.

3. Taking a warm bath can be a great way to loosen . Still, don't exagerate. You could try some aroma therapy, while you are in the water. Or you could add some bath salt.

4. Try some respiration exercises.

5. Make your own bedtime routine. The most important is to go to bed at the same time every night. Respecting a few steps every day, will make your brain realize when the time to bed has come.

6. Try taking supplements. Magnesium and calcium can work well. Also you could try taking some sleeping pills.

7. Learn to sleep on your back. Sleeping on your back is the best sleeping position to allow your internal organs to rest properly. Read more on how to sleep better

8. Open your window and let the fresh air enter your room for a few minutes. This helps you ventilate the room, but also brings fresh air to your brain. The room temperature should be between 60-65 degrees in Fahrenheit.

9. Avoid naps during the day.

10. If any of these steps don't help, I invite you to read my fast ways to fall asleep.

How to Sleep Better

1. Make yourself comfortable. Make sure you have a comfortable bed, and especially a decent mattress. A mattress is worth more than you think, considering you use it every night. Set the temperature to a nice, even setting. Not too cool, not too warm. Consider cleaning your room before trying to get to bed. Having a clean room can be calming when trying to fall asleep. A messy room will distract most people, and it can make you feel uncomfortable. Wash your sheets on a regular basis. Don't eat anything in your bed. Remove any TVs or Computers from your room. Your bedroom needs to be an electronics free zone, designated for getting better sleep.

2. Soundproof your room. Depending on where you live, you may want to soundproof your room, especially if your window leads to a noisy area. If it leads to your backyard, or a quiet area you might even open your window, to let the nature's sound come in and calm you. (Only in summer). If you cannot block off external sounds, look into getting a white noise machine, or have some CD's with natural night sounds on it.

3. Relax Before going to bed, you could do some relaxing exercise and practice deep breathing techniques. Nothing too stimulating. You can start with your fingers and toes or any way you want in order for you to relax. Below you will see a video showing you yogic breathing techniques. Relax your eyes and mind from too much stimulation. Don't be tempted to use entertainment gadgets or other things like your DVD player, mini laptop or television too much because the longer you expose your eyes to the screen then the longer for you to fall asleep.

4. Bedtime Ritual Most important in bedtime ritual is to decide on a specific time and try to be consistent with it every night to train yourself to fall asleep at that certain point. You could have a cup of tea with some light reading, wash your face, brush your hair, brush your teeth, moisturize, put on PJs. Whatever routine works for you, make it consistent. As you grow accustomed to your routine, all the elements of it will be signals to your brain that it's time to slow down and sleep soon.

5. Other Natural Possibilities If these don't help, you could still try counting something. Sheep don't work most of the time, but calculating your monthly budget, or trying to figure out how much money you could save giving up a certain habit sure does. Also, you could try taking some natural sleeping aid. One I found to be very useful is Melatrol.

How to Get Rid of Acne Scars

It is a known fact that acne scars make us feel ugly, useless, isolated, and the fact that we can barely get rid of them makes us feel depressed, or desperate. As long as any problem has a solution, there are treatments meant to deal with acne scars, too.

How To Get Rid of Acne Scars Naturally without Surgery

Here are some tips, that you should apply to get rid of acne scars:

acne scars
Tip 1: The most important is to identify the type of acne scars you have. See your dermatologist who will tell you the difference between types of scars. Scars may be classified as hypertrophy scars, ice pick, rolling or boxing. Not every nonsurgical removal techniques will work with each type of scar.

Tip 2: Apply a natural Treatment for Acne Scars. Look for a cream without Kojic acid and Hydroquinone. Use only natural acne creams. You may need to apply creams daily for a few weeks or as long as a few months.

Tip 3: Try different natural remedies. These remedies may help you if acne scars are red and have discolored the skin. For example, applying lemon juice can help reduce redness. Or use honey, either by consuming a tablespoon a day, or apply it to the affected area on your face, gently massage in, leave it on for 5-10 minutes, after that gently rinse off with cool water. Also you could use olive oil by gently massaging onto your acne scars each day

Tip 4: Make yourself a homemade face mask. Combine the following ingredients: 1 tablespoon of yogurt, 1 tablespoon sour cream, 1 tablespoon of oatmeal and a few drops of lemon juice.

Tip 5: Drink plenty of water. I know you heard this 100 times before, but believe me it is good for your body both inside and outside. You body will shed dead skin cells much more easier when it is well hydrated.

Tip 5: Don't touch your face. People tend to touch their face with hands that are not clean, especially when they are trying to heal acne scars. The more you touch your face, the more you make your scars worse, by introducing new bacteria to the scores. Before applying every other method be sure to clean your hands.

Allergic Hives

Hives, also known as urticaria, are swollen, pale red welts that appear on the skin after an allergic reaction. Hives can be caused by an allergic reaction to almost anything, including insect stings, medication, chemicals in food, stress, even sun exposure.

Hives form when blood plasma leaks out of blood vessels in the skin. This occurs as a result of a reaction to a histamine, a chemical released from cells along the skin's blood vessels.

The hives that result can last for a few hours to several days before fading. They typically itch and sometimes burn or sting. While generally not a serious health concern, hives are uncomfortable, so it's helpful to know how to relieve them.

Identify the cause.

Hives generally go away on their own, so the goal of treating them is to simply relieve the symptoms, but even before that, it's helpful to identify and remove the trigger. You may need to get medical tests to help determine what provoked the allergic reaction. If you identify the cause, you'll save yourself from future outbreaks.

Take oral antihistamines.

Hives are caused by a reaction to a histamine, so you counteract them with an antihistamine. Most antihistamines are over-the-counter drugs that are sold at drugstores. Follow the dosage directions on the box, and the antihistamine should help prevent the histamines from attaching to your cells and causing irritation. Many antihistamines can cause drowsiness and are only effective for a few hours at a time. You might need several doses during the day, but only take what's recommended.

Use topical creams or lotions.

Creams and lotions help numb nerve endings and alleviate the itching, as well as soothe burning or stinging. Look for creams that contain camphor, menthol, diphenhydramine or pramoxine. Most of these creams require no prescription.

Use simple, home remedies.

While waiting for relief from the medication or lotions, take a lukewarm bath with mild, gentle soap to help ease the itch. Press on cool compresses and wet cloths to alleviate stinging. Wear loose-fitting, light weight clothes to make you more comfortable.

Identify the cause.

Hives generally go away on their own, so the goal of treating them is to simply relieve the symptoms. The first and best step an individual can take in relieving the hives is to identify and remove the trigger. Although particularly difficult to do, it can be done with the help of a doctor. The sooner you identify the cause, the sooner you can experience long-term relief.

Calm a Colic Baby

For those of you, who have children I am sure, that you had that moment when, you didn't know what to do to calm your crying baby.

Infant colic affects around 20 percent of all babies.

There are several ways to calm a colic baby.

1. Apply a warm wash cloth to baby's stomach after feeding, this will also create heat and help with the digest movement. however, you will have to reheat the towel often to prevent it from cooling down. also be cautious not to overheat the wash cloth and burn the skin.

2. Gently rubbing baby's stomach with your hand after feeding. the rubbing motion helps the digest movement and create heat.

3. this method will help the baby who are being breastfeeding. slice about a cup of ginger, cook in medium heat with two cups of water, let it reduce to about a cup of water, add brown sugars to taste. the breastfeeding mother will have to drink this hot ginger tea once or twice daily. (this method is also a great remedy for treating the menstrual cramp)

4. Give your baby Gripe Water. I used for years Colic Calm which is an FDA regulated all natural gripe water. You can learn more about it by visiting Colic Calm.
